After overloading on post-Super Tuesday news analysis (yes, I’m a political geek as well as a fashion geek), I decompressed by spending some time scouring D.C. fashion blogs for inspiration. Fashion therapy at its best! In the process, I stumbled upon the Etsy shop of a local blogger and bag designer, Cortnie Elizabeth. These are great statement clutches in a variety of fabrics  and styles. Oh, and at a reasonable price too!  I admit, the clutch is seriously underrepresented in my own purse collection, other than one or two evening bags. The idea of the clutch is growing on me though, especially as a large, really unique piece tucked under your arm as both a compliment to your outfit and a convenient place to stash your iPhone, wallet and lipstick (and all the other stuff you know you have jammed in your purse). Not to mention that clutches were clearly huge in the street style shots at New York Fashion Week. I may, in fact, have trouble choosing just one from all these cool designs (see two leading contenders below). This may prove to be a true clutch decision (sorry, couldn’t resist)!
